3-D scanning is cost effective system which can be utilized to map concrete slab to locate embedded materials such as post-tensioned cables, pvc pipe, and conduits. It is also useful in mapping block areas for utility location. As well as mapping the location, this system can be used to determine drapes of post-tensioned cables to locate high and low points. This information is excellent when cutting penetrations in post-tensioned slabs for remodeling, or for acquiring and as built layout of installed cables.
